All my programmes, workshops, and coaching sessions are designed to be of immediate practical use. People leave with a clear plan of what they need to do differently and the confidence to put it into practice.

Every course I design and deliver is tailor-made to your needs and can be anything from 2 hours to 1 week long.

Specific areas covered are:

  • Management & team leader development
  • Presentation skills
  • Time management
  • Giving & receiving feedback
  • Personal and professional development
  • Effective communication and assertiveness
  • Train the trainer
  • Facilitation skills
  • Team working/building
  • Running effective meetings
  • Effective writing
  • Study skills
  • Success in interviews

To ensure maximum effectiveness all my courses and workshops include:

Pre course objective setting & individual feedback.

How?

  • Pre-work will be sent to the delegates prior to the course so that they start thinking about what they specifically want to get from the course.
  • I’ll work with them prior to the course via e-mail to get rid of any vague woolly objectives that would decrease the success of the course.

Why?

  • Saves time on the course enabling more to be covered
  • Allows additional material to be included to meet specific needs
  • Delegates have a crystal clear idea of what they want to get out of the training rather than some vague idea that they want to be better at something.

Unlimited e-mail support for each delegate for 1 month after the course.

How?

  • Delegates e-mail me with questions or where they need extra support in implementing the material covered during the course or workshop.

Why?

  • A key element of my training and coaching is taking what you’ve learnt and putting it into practice straight away.
  • The sooner the material is applied the more effective it will be.
  • The more consistently the material is applied the more effective it will be.
  • One-to-one ongoing support straight after the course helps people apply the changes they’ve said they’ll make.

Personal e-mail follow-up 3 months after the course.

How?

  • I’ll send out a self-coaching worksheet to enable the delegates to review their learning, clarify what is working, and identify what they need to do to continue their development.

Why?

  • Back in the workplace, it’s too easy to go back to old ways of working.
  • A reminder 3 months after the course enables participants to review what’s working and what they need to do to continue making the most of the course material.

Training Style

My style is very active and involved with a practical outcome.

I’m good at putting subjects across simply and logically so that during the training I am free to focus on what the participants want to get from the course and able to respond and adapt my delivery to suit the needs of the group.

Delegates leave my courses with a clear idea of the changes they want to make and what they need to do differently back in the workplace to achieve these changes. In addition, they have the self-confidence to put these changes in place.
